Gather with fellow World War II buffs to watch a movie matinee on the 4th Thursday of each month. (3rd Thursday in November and December)

November 21 - 3:30-5:30 pm, The Sands of Iwo Jima. Starring John Wayne as Marine Sgt. Stryker, who is feared and disliked by his men. When they attack Iwo Jima to secure a base for U.S. fighter planes, the men begin to understand the reason for Stryker’s strict discipline. Nominated for four Academy Awards.

December 19 - 12 noon – 2:00 pm, Silent Night, Based on a true story, a German mother and her son are joined by three American soldiers and three German soldiers on Christmas Eve in 1944 during the Battle of the Bulge. The men put aside their differences for a brief time to share Christmas dinner.

January 23 , 2:00-4:00 pm -The Zookeeper's Wife: Based on a true story, husband and wife zookeepers rescue hundreds of Polish Jews from the Germans and hide them in the Warsaw Zoo during WWII.

February 27, 2:00-4:00 pm - Let There Be Light: The Army released this documentary in 1946, illustrating the treatment provided to soldiers suffering from PTSD during WWII. The Army then banned it because of concerns it would negatively impact recruiting post WWII.
