Movement For Parkinson’s is a weekly dance class taught by the Charlottesville Ballet for people with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease or any other movement disorder. Based on the Dance for PD approach developed by the Mark Morris Dance Group (which has programs in 250 communities in 30 countries), this class welcomes families, friends, and care-partners to join, and no dance experience is required! Participants will explore elements of dance and music to improve the quality of life through overall physical well-being, social interaction, and creative expression with targeted improvements in balance, strength, and mobility. Free and Open to Center Members.
