Explore traditional beats from the cultures of the Old Mali Empire, coastal Ghana, the Caribbean, and Brazil. Learn the motor skills you need to advance as a drummer, how to verbally articulate different beats, and how to group like beats and separate them by styles. Prepare for performance opportunities and get an introduction to different notation styles. Free and open to all.
