Perfect for brand-new tappers or those returning after time away. Students will learn the fundamentals of rhythm, timing, and basic tap vocabulary while developing coordination and musicality.

Classes are taught by Julie Montross, a former professional dancer with national and international tour credits. Julie brings over 15 years of teaching experience in tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. She has coached competitive dance teams to national titles and earned numerous choreography awards. Julie currently serves as the CEO and Executive Director of the historic Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, continuing her lifelong commitment to the arts and community.
