Building on the basics, this tap class introduces more complex steps, combinations, and rhythm patterns while strengthening technique and style. Dancers will work on clarity of sound and learn short choreographed sequences.

Classes are taught by Julie Montross, a former professional dancer with national and international tour credits. Julie brings over 15 years of teaching experience in tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. She has coached competitive dance teams to national titles and earned numerous choreography awards. Julie currently serves as the CEO and Executive Director of the historic Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, continuing her lifelong commitment to the arts and community.
