This class offers a safe and effective path to improved functional fitness using the "As Many Repetitions As Possible" (AMRAP) format. In a supportive environment, you'll work through a carefully designed circuit of exercises that build muscular strength, enhance balance, and increase flexibility. During timed intervals, you'll perform a series of exercises at a pace that's comfortable and challenging for you, with the freedom to rest whenever you need to. We'll focus on foundational movements that improve your ability to perform daily tasks with greater ease, confidence, and independence, such as getting up from a chair, carrying groceries, and walking on uneven surfaces. The class emphasizes proper form and safe, controlled movements. We will utilize a variety of weights and may incorporate a chair or the wall for stability. The cool-down on the mat will feature full body stretches to improve range of motion and reduce muscle stiffness.
