3-part series (May 4, 11 and 18)

How to get your book published: What every writer wants to know but may be afraid to ask

Want to learn how to publish? Come to this three-class series facilitated by Judy Mandell. She interviewed 44 book editors for Book Editors Talk to Writers. The course will offer advice she learned from those editors -- the inside scoop on book proposals, agents, best sellers, publishing decisions, publishing lingo, and contracts. The course should be of interest to people who are merely curious about book publishing. However, she will advise anyone who is serious about getting a book published.

Judy Mandell is a freelance writer based in North Garden.  She contributes to The New York Times, the AARP publications, Prevention magazine, the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post and many other major newspapers and magazines.  Her books include What to Expect in Your Fifties: A Woman's Guide to Health, Vitality, and Longevity (Dell Publishing), Book Editors Talk to Writers (John Wiley) Magazine Editors Talk to Writers (John Wiley); and many more.

Open to all.
