Come experience movies as they were 100 years ago, with live music accompaniment by University of Virginia Film lecturer Matt Marshall.
We will enjoy the silent classic, The Kid (1921). Charlie Chaplin directed and starred in the full-length silent movie. The Tramp, played by Chaplin, finds an abandoned baby and decides to raise it as his own. Jackie Coogan, known in later years for his role as Uncle Fester on The Addams Family, plays the kid. This silent classic is truly a piece of cinema history, offering a glimpse into days past, along with many laughs.
