Explore traditional beats from the cultures of the Old Mali Empire, coastal Ghana, the Caribbean, and Brazil. Learn the motor skills you need to advance as a drummer, how to verbally articulate different beats, and how to group like beats and separate them by styles. Prepare for performance opportunities and get an introduction to different notation styles.
