Diabetes Discussion Group

Meet on the First Friday of Each Month 10:00-11:00 am

Ruth Sweet, RN and previous teacher for those newly diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, facilitates topics that will help the group better understand their diabetes diagnoses. Free and open to all. Registration encouraged.

Brief Bio On Instructor: Ruth Sweet is facilitating this group following Talking About Diabetes. She is a Registered Nurse who has taught a class for people newly diagnosed with Type Two Diabetes for about 10 years. She has lived with Type 1 diabetes for more than 40 years with minimal consequences. She had a Private Practice as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) until age 70. Most of that time she was also leading the Diabetes Class for a Wisconsin Clinic.

Attendee Feedback: Coming together monthly is an excellent way to learn how others are coping with Diabetes. Many of the strategies I have learned about Diabetes have come from members of a support group. Members give each other useful information and encouragement.

Open to all.
