JULY 16: Estate Planning Basics: Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Medical Directives
Find out what every adult should know – and put in place - to ensure your finances, property and healthcare decisions are carried out as you wish when you grow older. Learn how to dispose of your property when you die, avoiding (not evading!) taxes and probate.

AUGUST 20: More on Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning: Beyond the Basics
Why do I need an estate plan? Many people have no idea of the complications that can arise when they fail to plan where there “stuff” goes when they die.   It can cost a great deal of money – in attorney’s fees, taxes, interest, fines and other expenses. Most people can manage estate planning with a simple Will and perhaps some other maneuvers to keep certain assets out of Probate. Others may need to consider creating a Trust. Starting to sound like Greek to you? What’s probate? What’s the difference between a Will and a Trust? How do I “avoid probate” and do I have to?  Attendees will gain an understanding of more than the basics and perhaps have a much clearer idea of your own needs to plan for the transfer of your property in the future.

Open to all.
