Caring For You: Mind, Body, and Soul
Wednesday, April 22, 2026 | 10:30am-12:00pm
Details:
The Riverside Center for Excellence in Aging and Lifelong Health has developed a microlearning series to enhance the wellness of people living with dementia and those who care for them. This video series follows a family caregiver support group as they navigate the challenges and gifts of caregiving. It includes 10 lessons, each 10 minutes or less. Through real-life scenarios, caregivers learn how to care for themselves while supporting a person with dementia. The video series can be found here.
Together we will view 2-3 of the videos and then discuss them with our facilitator, Paula Sherwood, from the UVA School of Nursing. Paula’s research and practice interests focus on the physical and mental health of caregivers. This program is in collaboration with Haney Compassionate Care. Free and open to all.
Please register below for the April 22 in-person event.
This program will be repeated on Zoom, Monday, April 27, 12:00-1:00 pm. You do not need to register ahead of time. Click here a few minutes prior to the start time.
Open to all.
