Geometric Drawing

Next session: Wednesday, October 1, 2025 | 9:30am-11:30am
Details:
This course, taught by Vivian Jones-Schmidt, is for anyone who loves to work with shapes, colors and regardless of skill level. Working with a compass and ruler, we'll construct triangles, squares, rectangles and circles and we'll explore how these forms underlie both the natural and the human worlds. The petals and leaves of flowers grow in patterns, as do the carpels of pinecones. You'll recover that vocabulary you've likely forgotten and wherever you go you will see triangles, circles and quadrilaterals. The class will culminate in designing a stained-glass window pattern.
