In this class, you will be introduced to exploring and creating meaningful portraits and to capture the expression and characteristics of the human face. You will learn how to see the features of the face, explore relationships of features with each other and be encouraged to express your version of the portraits you choose to paint from your own references.
Required materials:
- painting medium of your choice
- oil paints in the primaries, white, burnt umber & sienna and black
- Gamsol in a lidded jar
- linseed oil
- #4, 8, 12 flat brush
- #4, 6, 8 filbert brush
- fan brush
- palette knife
- paper towels
- six canvases
- palette
