The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926)  This is the FIRST animated feature film and the first animation to include the character, Aladdin. It tells the story of Achmed, a handsome prince who rides a flying horse to faraway lands and embarks on magical adventures, which include befriending a witch, meeting Aladdin, battling shape-shifting monsters and falling in love with a princess. Lotte Reininger, one of the earliest female directors, made The Adventures of Prince Achmed. She specialized in silhouette stop-motion animation.
