Gather with fellow World War II buffs to watch a movie matinee on the 4th Thursday of each month, 2:00-4:00 pm

March 27 -Blood Oath (Prisoners of the Sun), 1990 
This Australian film is based on the real-life trial of Japanese soldiers for war crimes committed against Allied prisoners of war on the island of Ambon in the Netherland East Indies (Indonesia) during WWII. This film has graphic violent scenes of beatings, torture, and executions.

April 24 -The Best Years of Our Lives, 1946
Three U.S. servicemen from different branches of the military and different ranks return home after WWII and deal with adjusting to civilian life. This classic film won 7 Academy Awards and is one of 25 films selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
