Directed by Grammy Award winner Frank Albinder and accompanied by Ting-Ting Yen, the Virginia Glee Club is a student-governed tenor-bass choir at the University of Virginia. Founded in 1871, the Club is celebrating its 154th year at the University, making it the oldest musical organization on Grounds. Club is made up of students from throughout the University community, graduate and undergraduate, and strives to perform at a professional level. In 2013 Club made it's first International Tour in nearly a decade, traveling to Wales and England to collaborate with well known tenor-bass choirs in the UK. In 2024 Club embarked on a bus tour of the south with stops in East Tennessee, Charlotte, a performance on the floor of the Mississippi State Senate, and a collaborative performance with the Georgia State Choirs in Atlanta. Club is a fraternity of talent that continues to promote a culture of Harmony, Love, & Brotherhood and uphold long held social traditions while providing an open and inclusive environment to all of its members.
