Playing music is the best thing you can do for your brain. This Recorder class will stir up the gray matter and provide fun while doing it! Gary Porter shares her love of the recorder and the music you can make with it. Students wishing to join this class should have some experience playing the recorder.
Those who are brand new to playing the insturument and have no experience, please contact Gary.
Gary Porter is a longtime early musician, teacher and lifetime member of the American Recorder Society, She uses the Suzuki Recorder School books, Alto part, Vol. 1 for class instruction. She prefers using the Yamaha ECODEAR YRA 402B Baroque Fingering F Alto Recorder. This instrument is made of a plant resin, has a sweet tone and is in tune. You will need to supply your own recorder and Suzuki Alto part Vol. 1 Recorder book. If you have questions, please contact Gary.
