Details:

Meets every Wednesday from 1:30-3:00 pm.

Playing music is the best thing you can do for your brain. This Recorder class will stir up the gray matter and provide fun while doing it! Learn the recorder, make music, and have fun! Gary Porter, a longtime musician, teacher and lifetime member of the American Recorder Society, shares her love of the recorder and the music you can make with it. No experience is necessary; new members to the group are accepted at any time.

Gary Porter, a longtime early musician, teacher and lifetime member of the American Recorder Society, shares her love of the recorder and the music you can make with it.
I use the Suzuki Recorder School books, Alto part, Vol. 1 for class instruction.  I
Prefer using the Yamaha ECODEAR YRA 402B Baroque Fingering F Alto Recorder.
These instruments are made of a plant resin, have a sweet tone and are in tune. Appropriate Supplies can be purchased online from the following vendors: Amazon.com, West Music.com, Music & Arts.com, Sweet Pipes.com, Shar Music.com, Walmart.com, The Musicians’ Friend.com

You will need to supply your own recorder. If you have questions please contact Gary.
