The African American Authors Book Club (AAABC) has been reading books by African American or African authors since 1996. While selected books are by African American authors, the club members are racially and culturally diverse and join together each month to enjoy intellectual discussions and camaraderie. All are welcome.
June 9- “The Secret Lives of Church Ladies”, by Deesha Philyaw
July 14 - “The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story” by Nikole Hannah-Jones
August - no book. Thinking of a field trip options.
September 8 - “The Love Songs of W.E.B. DuBois” by Honoree Fanon Jeffers
October 13- “All That She Carried” by Tiya Miles
November 10 - “Harlem Shuffle” by Colson Whitehead
December - Holiday Party
