Presented in partnership with Trinity Hospice

Are occasional memory lapses a normal part of aging, or could they signal something more? Join Tanya Prachar, Nurse Practitioner with UVA's Department of Neurology and a specialist in memory and cognitive disorders, for an informative and engaging discussion about brain health and aging.

This presentation will explore the differences between normal age-related cognitive changes, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), and dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. Participants will learn how MCI is diagnosed, recognize signs that may warrant medical evaluation, and gain practical information about maintaining cognitive health and supporting loved ones experiencing memory changes.

Whether you are interested in protecting your own brain health or helping a family member navigate cognitive concerns, this program will provide valuable insights, resources, and guidance. The presentation will conclude with an open question-and-answer session, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the speaker.

Open to all.
