Stetz, Montpelier's Manager of Educational Outreach, to discover the history of Montpelier, home of the "Father of the Constitution."  From its origins as a plantation on the western frontier of colonial Virginia, Montpelier has been witness to nearly 300 years of American history.  Learn about the lives of the Madison family, the enslaved community, and the enduring legacy of James Madison’s most powerful idea: government by the people.
