Friday, May 15, 2026 | 10:00am-11:30am

Details:

Former Senior Intelligence Officer Carl Pales and retired U.S. Army Colonel Steve Rundle will provide an overview, including background and context, of three small wars China fought with its neighbors during the Cold War.  The clashes are the Sino-India border conflict, 1962; fighting along the China-USSR border, 1969; and the Chinese invasion of Vietnam, 1979. Each of these had national and international ramifications and impacted the development of China’s People’s Liberation Army that continues to this day.
