This gentle, low-impact, floor-based mat class is designed specifically for older adults who want to move with greater confidence, strength, and ease. The focus is on strengthening the “powerhouse” — the core, lower back, and hips — to support better posture, balance, and everyday movement.
Each session blends controlled breathing with slow, precise movements to improve body awareness and coordination while being easy on the joints.
This class will address:
Fall Prevention: Improve balance and proprioception to reduce the risk of trips and falls and increase overall stability.
Core Stability: Strengthen deep abdominal and back muscles to better support the spine and help reduce chronic lower back discomfort.
Flexibility and Range of Motion: Gently increase joint mobility to make daily activities such as walking, reaching, and getting up from a chair easier and more comfortable.
