Lennon, Monk & Bach Walk into A bar…” — Live Concert Experience
Peter Saltzman fuses rock/pop, jazz, and classical repertoire into a cohesive, improvisational journey. By spotlighting three towering figures—John Lennon, Thelonious Monk, and Johann Sebastian Bach—Saltzman invites audiences to hear familiar melodies through fresh, virtuosic transformations.
Saltzman opens with vocal renditions of Lennon classics—transcending the Beatle canon with inventive piano arrangements—then weaves into Monk’s angular jazz world and interlaces improvisations on Bach preludes and fugues.

About Peter Saltzman:

“ambitious, richly layered, wonderfully accessible” (Chicago Sun-Times), and his orchestral suite "Walls" was called “powerful stuff” (Dallas Morning News). His solo piano album Blues, Preludes & Feuds is "easily one of the very best piano releases of the last 30 years“ and "just plain genius” (All About Jazz).
