Enjoy a winter walk up the Monticello Trail. Meet in the large parking lot at Route 20: 678 Dairy Barn Rd, Charlottesville at 1:00 and walk up the Saunders trail to the visitor's center (water fountains and bathrooms) and then head back down. Up and back is about 4.5 miles; expect about 2 -2.5 hours total time. Sorry, this trail does not allow dogs. Easy hike - gentle elevation never exceeding 5% incline. Surfaces are either boardwalk or packed gravel. Rain/snow cancels.
Dogs are allowed on leash.
