Beginning Watercolor

Next session: Tuesday, July 8, 2025 | 9:30am-12:30pm
Details:
Tuesdays, July 8-August 26, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
This 8 week course is for anyone new to watercolor painting. Since drawing is the foundation of visual art, basic drawing skills will be included in each class along with watercolor techniques. Vivian, the instructor, has over 25 years of experience teaching art to students in Grades K–8 and currently teaches middle school art online. This course is based on a curriculum created and taught at the Center for many years by Linda Abbey. A supply fee of $15 is due to the instructor at the first session. This will cover 3 mats for the end-of-course exhibit, and the Strathmore 500 illustration light vellum board for the “snow” painting. If you already have two painting boards, please bring them with you.
