Food insecurity is a real problem for many people in Charlottesville/Albemarle. Community gardens—land cultivated by a group of people individually or collectively—can help. Join Aleen Carey (Executive Director, Cultivate Charlottesville) and leaders of Piedmont Master Gardeners community garden projects to learn about the scope of food insecurity in our area, some of the efforts to address it, and simple things you can do in your own garden to help.
