Core Stability and Functional Training for Healthy Movement, Balance and Strength is designed by our Fitness Manager, Jane Saltzman and Physical Therapist, Darcy Higgins. We will focus on empowering your body awareness with healthy movement patterns that you can apply to your life outside of class. You will learn about your body and how it works so that you can move well without pain. The focus is on movement, balance, strength, postures, and breathing patterns that you'll need to perform the activities you love to do. This class is for members who are struggling with decreased balance, difficulty getting out of chairs or off the floor, and who have lost strength and endurance. We will adjust the exercises and activities to respect each participant's individual abilities.
