Thursdays, April 17-May 22, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Learn the techniques used to create abstract art by the masters of the 19th and 20th century such as: Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keefe, Helen Frankenthaler and Vasily Kandinsky. We will learn to view abstract art with a unique lens and choose to paint from photos that I will share which can be cropped to paint what resonates with you.
Cancelation Policy: Please notify us at least 5 business days in advance of the program’s start date. Cancellations made less than 5 days in advance will not be eligible for a refund or credit.
Note: Many art, music, and language programs are structured as a series, with a specific number of sessions scheduled over a defined period of time. Missed sessions within a series are not eligible for refunds.

Material list:
1. Acrylic Paint- Primary colors, white, black and any secondary or tertiary colors of your choice.
2. Gel Medium-Soft Gel medium by Golden. Glazing fluid by Golden.
3. Brushes- Synthetic are fine. 1 or 2-inch flat brush, several round brushes varying from very small for fine lines to somewhat large. Rigger brush for fine lines if you like.
4. Pallett knives- Metal are preferred. They come in various sizes and shapes. Pick at least 3 types at an affordable price.
5. Pallett of your choice.
6. Canvas-your choice of size and quality.
7. Cradle Board- your choice of size and quality. If you buy this, then please purchase Gesso by Golden to prime it. I will show you how.
8. Paper towels
9. Saran wrap
10. Photos of “Abstract” work- by either master artists or contemporary artists of your choice to work from. I will show you how to “crop” a photo to enhance the composition.
11. Small bottle of dish detergent to clean your brushes and water container.
12. Any other acrylic medium of your choice.
13. *Optional “gold” flakes to achieve a “ Gustav Klimt” appearance.
