Introduction to Pastel Painting 2025

January 17-February 21, Fridays 1:00-3:30 pm

Through a variety of exercises and demonstrations, Anne Hopper will lead you through the essential basic pastel drawing and learn different techniques with soft pastel. This is a hands-on class for all levels, including beginners! Materials required list is below. Prime Members free, Standard Members $70.

Materials Required:

Foam core board 11 x 14 

Painters tape 1 “ wide 

Gloves or fingers cots 

Wax paper( roll) 

12 sheets pad minimum 9 x 12 

Canson or a Pastelmat. 

Brand : Prismacolor Nu Pastel 

Minimum 12-24 sticks 

No Oil Pastel sticks 

Wipes

Due to the need to purchase supplies in advance, cancellations with fewer than 7 days' notice will incur the materials fee. No-show Fee: Prime members will incur a $30 no-show fee for any uncancelled registrations in addition to the class’s materials fee if there is one.
