Intermediate Acrylic Painting 2025

Thursdays, Jan 9-30, 3:30-6:00 pm
With Joanne Coleman, students will learn how to draw their composition, then use an underpainting before the final application of paint to finish their artwork. They will also learn positive and negative space, perspective, capturing lights and shadows and how to lead the viewer’s eye in a though provoking manner. Materials required list below. Prime members free, Standard Members $60.
Material List:
Liquitex, Basics, Golde, Windsor Newton acrylic paints- your choice.
Acrylic gel medium, soft , matte, Golden brand, small jar.
Golden Fluid Matte or Satin Glazing medium, small bottle.
Brushes-your choice. Palette knives-your choice.
Canvas- your choice of type and size.
Dried flowers, botanicals, leaves, bark.
Paper towels
Plastic wrap.
Palette for paint-your choice of type and size
Photos or object that you wish to paint
Old cut up credit card or similar, to use for textures.

Due to the need to purchase supplies in advance, cancellations with fewer than 7 days' notice will incur the materials fee. No-show Fee: Prime members will incur a $30 no-show fee for any uncancelled registrations in addition to the class’s materials fee.
