Let's learn something new and talk about it! Join us each month as we explore a new topic through a documentary. The showing will be followed with thoughtful discussions and conversation.

September -Double Victory: The Tuskegee Airmen at War

Join us for a viewing of the documentary, Double Victory: The Tuskegee Airmen at War. Following the documentary, Gwen Reynolds will facilitate a discussion about the documentary and the role of the Tuskegee airmen in World War II.

 

October - High On The Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America

Join Dr. Leni Sorensen for a viewing of the documentary, High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America. Dr. Sorensen is an American chef and culinary historian. She focuses on the lives of Black cooks, with a particular emphasis on the early 1800s and the colonial period. She is featured in the documentary.
