Details:
Monthly Adults with ADHD group led by Susan McGinnis, ADHD Impact Coaching LLC
"Learning to Stay"
Every 3rd Thursday of The Month Beginning in January
Staying present in the moment is a key skill to managing life with ADHD. For this group, we will use the book The Mindfulness Prescription for Adult ADHD by Lidia Zylowska as a guide for building awareness of internal distractions and for learning to stay present. In this book, the author focuses on mindfulness as "more about working with one's attention and attitude in the midst of everyday life than it is about establishing a meditation practice."
Intended for adults at any age who are managing their own life with ADHD or are within families affected by ADHD.
Meetings will be once a month to provide connection with others and to support individual learning and personal practices for strengthening attention, managing emotions, and achieving your goals.
Facilitated by Susan McGinnis, a Certified ADHD Life Coach who works with adults to strengthen their self-regulation skills and live their best life. Susan McGinnis is a Certified ADHD Life Coach who works with adults impacted by ADHD. Susan became an ADHD coach after her own late ADHD diagnosis, as part of her own discovery and growth process after a career and family. Susan stays current with research and understanding of the ADHD field as a member of the ADHD Coaches Organization as well as of the national ADHD support organizations CHADD and ADDA.
