Effective Strategies for Caregivers
Monday, September 19, 2022
Six (6) week Program starting in September 2022 and January 2023.
This is a research study offered by UVA Health to evaluate the Effective Strategies Program for Caregivers. During the series of 6 group sessions, you will learn about memory loss and dementia and ways to better navigate caregiving. The wellbeing of both caregivers and the ones they care for may be improved with caregiver support and information provided in the study. To participate, you will need to sign a consent form, attend all six 90 minute weekly group sessions, and answer questionnaires about yourself and the person to whom you give care. You will be randomized (like a flip of a coin) to participate in either the September 2022 or January 2023 programs. Principle Investigator: Shannon Reilly, PhD, Department of Neurology HSR210499.
Open to adults providing care for persons with memory or thinking problems.
