The Joy of Acting

Thursdays, June 2 - July 7 (6 weeks)

 

The Joy of Acting is a way to experience how important play is in our lives and in the world. This class will include acting games - we play to connect and be present - some storytelling - because all theater is stories and we have the best material right at our fingertips - some theatrical improvisation - because why not?! - and scene study where we bring short scripted scenes to life.  Larry Goldstein, co-founder of Live Arts in Theater in Charlottesville, and Boomie Pedersen, artistic director of The Hamner Theater, have taught acting for many decades. All are welcome. No experience necessary. Fee: $75.00 for all.
