The Silk Road - Past & Future - Historically, the old Silk Road, which joins Europe and China through some of the most hostile terrain in the world, was a place where heretics from all religions sought refuge and modified their religions to the others they met there.  Now China is hoping to build a modern Silk Road, with the support of Russia, along the same route.  Will they suceed?  If so, what will be the effects on world religions and on the world balance of power?  Free and open to the community.

Friday July 12, 10:00-11:30 am

The New Cold War - The Cold War was won because of three people: Margaret Thatcher, a Methodist Lay Preacher before entering politics; Ronald Reagan, a practicing Presbyterian; and Pope John Paul II, who risked his life preaching in Poland against the USSR.  In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan called the USSR the “Evil Empire,” and all of America understood it was because they were godless without Biblical values. Today we face a new Cyber Cold War against Russia and China.  If our leaders suggested either nation is evil because they are godless, there would be an uproar for political correctness.  Science is even trying to prove evil is genetic and can be cured with a pill!  Join in the discussion. Free and open to the community.

WILL NOT MEET IN AUGUST.
